As part of the PREMIERo 2025: The CebuTech Week of Welcome (WOW), the Cebu Technological University San Fernando Extension Campus held its General Orientation for the academic year 2025-2026 on August 15, 2025, at the San Isidro Covered Court, San Isidro, San Fernando, Cebu.
Campus Director Mr. Wilfredo G. Anoos shared a glimpse of the history of the campus, which commenced the orientation proper.
Mrs. Eleanor Gonzales, Chairperson of the Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education (BTLEd) program, outlined the purpose of the orientation.
A distinguished guest from the Local Government Unit (LGU) of the Municipality of San Fernando in the person of Hon. Carlos B. Canoy, the Committee Chairman on Education and Sports, gave inspiring words to the audience, reminding the audience that education is not just about papers and high grades, but it’s more about character building.
The orientation focused on the discussion of the university’s vision, mission, goals, and objectives, grading systems, retention and promotion criteria, scholastic standing, key support services of the university, including scholarship services and campus organization, management information system of the university.
Meanwhile, health protocols and medical requirements and the registrar services were also presented.
The General Orientation reaffirmed the institution’s dedication to guiding students from the College of Technology (CoT) and the College of Education (CoEd) through its policies and guidelines to foster a harmonious academic journey.
