The Commission on Higher Education Regional Office 7 Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQAT) validated the CTU San Francisco BTLEd Program’s application for the Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) via Zoom last March 3, 2022.
Melissa L. Castillote, CHEDRO 7 Education Supervisor II, headed the monitoring along with Holy Name University College of Teacher Education Dr Roque and freelance accreditor Dr Delos Reyes.
The institution’s key officials were present during the monitoring. As part of the IATF local protocol, CHEDRO 7 reminded the participants that there should be no sharing of laptops/computers and headsets for health reasons.
The campus enjoined to prepare brief videos on the facilities needed per the program’s policies, standards, and guidelines (PSG), screen shared as required. After the process flow of the virtual evaluation has been stated, the monitoring proper commences focusing on the BTLED program needs to improve.
Mrs Ma. Dulce Luchavez, the program chairperson, answered the team’s queries. They also integrate a live virtual tour as part of the physical plant and facilities inspection.
The monitoring focused on instruction, physical plant and facilities and others. After the virtual inspection process, RQAT members provided feedback regarding the evaluation results and a commitment from the program’s faculty members to comply with the necessary documents that concluded the activity. / Collin Garrido
