In a vibrant showcase of youthful creativity and community spirit, The Island Fisher and the SK Federation of San Francisco proudly present “Kapistahan sa Literatura,” a cultural festival celebrating the rich talents and cultural heritage of San Francisco youth.
At the helm of this remarkable event are the supervising heads, whose dedication and leadership have brought this vision to life. Shannia B. Pleรฑos, Editor-in-Chief of The Island Fisher; Regiel Mae C. Maningo, Associate Editor-in-Chief; Leah Angela L. Ortadilla, Literary Editor; Jhia Mae C. Matidios, Sports Editor; and Herwin F. Ostria, Photojournalist, have all played pivotal roles in guiding and empowering the youth participants and San Fran’s SK Fed President Christina Marie Liaz and her officials.
The working committees composed of talented individuals who worked tirelessly to ensure the success of each component of the festival. The Feature Writing Committee, led by Honey Shane G. Tein and Kyle Mitz E. Alpeche, has brought to light the unique ability of the youth to feature the wonders of San Francisco. Lovely Key L. Garciano and Alliah Shane O. Labin have spearheaded the Essay Writing Committee, inspiring thoughtful reflection and expression. Meanwhile, Charminlu A. Barro and Douglas Arthur R. Pleรฑos have led the Poem Making Committee, infusing the festival with the beauty and depth of poetic expression. The Story Making Committee, under the guidance of Sherlyn Jane S. Amancio and Anicka Eden Joy B. Fabroa, has initiated imaginative storytelling about the Legend of the Lake Danao. Lastly, the Photojournalism Committee, led by Alehsa Teresa D. Boroy and Kerr Angelo N. Maningo, has beautifully captured the essence of the festival through their participants’ lenses.
Jamille A. Pleรฑos and Lynce G. Miao have provided extensive coverage of the event, ensuring that the festival’s impact reaches far and wide. Their dedication to writing and documentation is commendable.
