AVAILABLE SCHOLARSHIPS

PLDT Smart Gabay Guro (2G) Scholarship Program

Privileges: Free tuition and miscellaneous fees; a monthly stipend of P1,500.00; a chance to avail of other scholarships, provided that such privilege should not exceed P7,500.00 per semester; Cash Incentives( for Latin Honor awardee, etc.)

Qualifications:

The applicant must

  • be a first year student in the College of Education;
  • have a general weighted average (GWA) of 85% or better in the high school report card;
  • be of good moral character;
  • have excellent communication skills both in oral and written; and
  • belong in an indigent family with parents’ combined annual gross income of not more than P150,000.00.

Documentary requirements:

  • Filled out Application Form (please get the form at the Scholarship and Financial Assistance Office);
  • Certified true copy of High School Report Card;
  • Any of the following: Certification of Tax Exemption of parents / Barangay Certification that the applicant belongs to an indigent family/ Income Tax Return.

Aboitiz Power – Distribution Utilities (APDU) Scholarship Program

Privileges: Free tuition and miscellaneous fees with monthly stipend; should all expenses for PRC board exam, review, review materials, lodging; a chance to work at any company of the Aboitiz Group

Qualifications:

Upon application, the applicant must:

  • be a 4th year Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering student;
  • Grades should not be lower than 2.5 in any subject taken and the corresponding GPA must be 1.6 or higher per semester;
  • Students should have no disciplinary action record;
  • Number of units enrolled should not be less than eighteen (18) units
  • Must pass in the exams and interview.

Requirements:

  • Application letter and resume with recent 2x2 ID picture
  • Certification from the school that the applicant is a bona fide 4th year BSEE or BSECE student and is of good moral standing
  • A printout of the summary of grades  (Final grades from 1st year to the latest semester completed)

Note: Students should bring a scientific calculator on the examination day.

San Miguel Foundation Scholarship Program

Privileges: Free tuition and miscellaneous fees with a monthly stipend of P3,500.00; get a chance to attend trainings, seminars and workshops spearheaded by the Foundation

Qualifications:

Upon application, the applicant must:

  • be a 2nd year student enrolled in either BS Mechanical or BS Electrical Engineering
  • be part of 20% of the class, with the GWA of 2.0 or better per semester
  • be a resident of Mandaue City
  • have No Grade of "5.00", INC, Dropped Subjects,
  • carry the regular load prescribed by the curriculum;
  • be of good moral character, no criminal records outside the university
  • be financially needy, earning an annual income of 120,000 or below; must present Barangay Certificate of Indigency
  • have no existing scholarship or financial assistance from any public or private institutions;

Documentary requirements:

  • Filled out Application Form (please get the form at the Scholarship and Financial Assistance Office);
  • A print out summary of grades for the first and second semesters, Academic Year 2015-2016
  • Any of the following: Certification of Tax Exemption of parents / Barangay Certification that the applicant belongs to an indigent family/ Income Tax Return.
