Celebrating Mother’s Day in Grandeur: A Memorable Weekend at Hagnaya Beach Resort

Mother’s Day gives us a special occasion to express our gratitude and love to the extraordinary women who have shaped our lives each year. CTU Daanbantayan Gender and Development organized a spectacular celebration that took this day to new heights. From May 26 to 27, 2023, faculty, administrators, and staff gathered at the picturesque Hagnaya Beach Resort to honor mothers and created cherished memories.

The Mother’s Day celebration was a delightful experience filled with exciting activities and indulgent treats.

To ensure an unforgettable weekend, the GAD curated diverse activities designed to bring joy to everyone present. Recognizing the significance of self-care and relaxation, the committee organized games, yoga sessions, and therapeutic exercises led by the esteemed Certified Yoga Teacher, Dr. Ma. Rosita A. Hernani.

Dr. Kenneth Joel S. Destura also delivered an insightful seminar titled “Breaking the Silence on Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD): A Seminar for Women,” providing valuable knowledge and support. Moreover, Dr. Emmanuel V. Hernani offered a profound talk on “A Husband’s Guide to Supporting His Wife with PMDD,” fostering understanding and compassion among participants.

The Mother’s Day celebration was a remarkable tribute to the incredible women who bring love, support, and nurturing into our lives. The Gender and Development department successfully transformed Mother’s Day into an extraordinary celebration, leaving faculty, administrators, and staff with beautiful memories and a deeper appreciation for the remarkable role of mothers in their lives.
