
CTU Daanbantayan-Tabogon Extension Campus celebrated a significant event on March 23, 2023, known as the Pinning and Testimonial Ceremony. This event was organized by the institution to honor and support the College of Education students as they prepared to embark on their practice teaching journey.
The ceremony took place at the Tabogon Municipal Gymnasium and was attended by a total of twenty-five (25) Pre-service Teachers. Among them were eleven (11) Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education students, twelve (12) Bachelor of Elementary Education students, and two (2) students from the Diploma in Professional Education program. The program officially began at 2:00 p.m., with Ms. Rhona Mae Colegado serving as the Master of Ceremony.
Dr. Rolina C. Paran warmly welcomed all the attendees, expressing gratitude for their presence. Professor Llanabelle O. Lañohan, the Chairman for Instruction, then affirmed the Statement of Purpose, emphasizing the significance of the event.
Mr. Ronnie A. Hingco Jr., the Municipal Administrator, delivered an inspirational message, encouraging the Student Teachers to reflect on their motivations and seek guidance from their faith, parents, mentors, and advisers.
One of the highlights of the ceremony was the pinning of nameplates on stage, symbolizing the support and pride of the parents or guardians. Additionally, the testimonial ceremony featured alumni from the Bachelor of Elementary Education and Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education programs. Ms. Jocellie A. Montemor and Mr. Janlinon S. Abel, who had become Licensed Professional Teachers, shared their personal journeys, aiming to inspire the Student Teachers who were about to embark on the same path.
Lastly, Professor Cherrylene G. Macachor, the Chairman for Research and Extension, delivered a heartfelt closing statement, concluding the event. The ceremony concluded with a rendition of the CTU Hymn, creating a sense of unity and pride among the attendees.
This Pinning and Testimonial Ceremony served as a significant milestone for every Education student, showcasing their progress and accomplishments. As they were officially recognized as Pre-Service Teachers, it marked the beginning of an important chapter in their educational journey.
