The Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) program is designed to meet the dynamic needs of the hospitality industry. It is tailored to equip students with the essential skills and knowledge required to meet the national competency standards as mandated by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), in compliance with CHED Memo 62 Series of 2017 and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).

At Cebu Technological University – Daanbantayan Campus Tabogon Extension, the BSHM program is divided into three sections: 3A, 3B, and 3C. Recently, students from these sections underwent a rigorous assessment in bartending to earn their National Certificate II (NCII). This qualification is essential for those seeking to excel in the realm of food and beverage services.

The assessment process was conducted in two batches, with the first group of students participating from July 10 to 14, and the second batch from September 7, 8, and 12. These assessments were expertly facilitated and guided by the dedicated and dynamic Sir Rick Mel P. Cadiente, who also played a pivotal role in organizing the training and offering continuous support to the BSHM 3 students.

The assessment sessions took place at the Manayaga Gabales Bascal, Salinas Drive, Lahug, Cebu City. During these assessments, students demonstrated their proficiency in a range of competencies, which are vital for operating a bar, crafting cocktails, mixing non-alcoholic beverages, and providing fundamental wine services to guests in various food and beverage settings.

The BSHM program at Cebu Technological University – Daanbantayan Campus Tabogon Extension is dedicated to preparing students to excel in the fast-paced and evolving hospitality industry. Through rigorous assessments like the NCII qualification, students are not only meeting industry standards but also gaining practical experience that will serve them well in their future careers.
