Elevating Excellence in Student Services through SAS and PERG Brilliance

On January 24, 2024, the Cebu Technological University Daanbantayan Campus-Tabogon Extension hosted the Student Affairs and Services (SAS), Production, Extension, and Resource Generation (PERG) Evaluation. The event, conducted at the SMART room, adhered to the guidelines outlined in CHED Memorandum Order No. 09, Series of 2013, emphasizing the monitoring and evaluation of student services to enhance existing policies, guidelines, and procedures related to student affairs and services.

Dr. Rolina C. Paran, the esteemed Campus Director of CTU Tabogon Extension, set the tone for the day by delivering a warm welcome address. Dr. Paran expressed sincere appreciation to the CTU-Daanbantayan Campus faculty and staff, as well as the CTU-Tabogon Extension faculty, staff, SSG, and FSTLP student leaders. She acknowledged their invaluable contributions and support during the evaluators’ visit from CTU Main Campus.

Taking the spotlight next, Dr. Josephine A. Villa, RGC, elucidated the purpose of the visit, introduced the evaluation team, and outlined the itinerary. Dr. Villa highlighted that the evaluation aimed to assess current practices, identifying areas where improvements could be made to ensure consistent services across all CTU campuses. The overarching goal was to establish uniform services, guaranteeing a cohesive experience for students. Dr. Villa emphasized that the evaluation instrument was aligned with the principles of CMO No. 09, s. 2013.

Dr. Villa spearheaded the evaluation process and ocular visits, accompanied by team members Dr. Catherine Ross Degula, Dr. Lolita Velita, and Dr. Mario Pardillo. The CTU-Daanbantayan Campus faculty and staff, including Dr. Jocelle D. Del Rosario, Dr. Vivian M. Arreglo, Dr. Mailyn T. Lequigan, Prof. Nicolas P. Antigua, Mrs. Sofia M. Montana, Prof. Jezza Maureen C. Coyoca, Prof. Salve T. Bucita, Ms. Maricel Pallermo, and Ms. Melany Manlangit, actively participated in the evaluation process.

In conclusion, Dr. Jocelle D. Del Rosario, the Dean and SAO coordinator, delivered closing remarks as the event concluded. Also, Dr. Paran expressed gratitude to these significant pillars of the institution, emphasizing that this evaluation will undoubtedly contribute to the enhancement of student services and the overall academic experience at CTU Daanbantayan Campus-Tabogon Extension.
