From January 2 to 15, various events were conducted at Cebu Technological University – Tabogon Extension Campus, showcasing the creativity of selected students.
On January 12, 2024, the campus proudly presented a compelling showcase of artistic talents through its unique art exhibit. Spearheaded by Ms. Regine Alunsagay, the exhibit served as the final practical exam for her subject – Art Appreciation. The event unveiled an impressive array of student creations, including vivid paintings, intricate soap carvings, and captivating coffee art.

The retrospective art exhibit provided a platform for students to express themselves across various mediums, revealing creativity and imagination. The campus ground became a gallery of inspiration, highlighting the diverse talents nurtured within the university.
Simultaneously, the Health Spa and Wellness Culmination took center stage on January 12 and 15, 2024, showcasing the expertise of third-year students from the Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management program. Guided by BSHM instructor, Mr. Rey Anthony C. Petiluna, the event unfolded as part of his practical examination in HMPE 314 Health Spa and Wellness.

Visitors were treated to a soothing experience as students demonstrated their proficiency in holistic health practices through relaxing massages. The event served as a testament to the students’ dedication to the principles of health and wellness. It showcased a seamless integration of theoretical knowledge and hands-on expertise, emphasizing the university’s commitment to producing well-rounded professionals in the field.
Adding to the dynamic atmosphere, first-year students of the BSHM program took the spotlight on January 15, 2024, participating in a practical examination that showcased their prowess in Kitchen Essentials and Basic Food Preparations. Led by the dedicated subject teacher, Mr. Rick Mel Cadiente, the practical exam was a comprehensive assessment of the students’ culinary skills.

From flavorful appetizers to soul-warming soups, vibrant salads, precisely crafted main courses, and delectable desserts, the students exhibited a wide range of culinary expertise. Their creative flair was evident as they expertly balanced flavors to create mouthwatering dishes.
The event not only demonstrated the students’ proficiency but also underscored the university’s commitment to providing a well-rounded education that prepares students for real-world challenges in the hospitality industry.
