On January 22, 2024, Cebu Technological University Daanbantayan Campus-Tabogon Extension held a significant seminar in the Smart Room of the Campus, bringing together instructors and staff members. The primary focus of this gathering was to impart crucial information and guidance on combating and eradicating sexual harassment. Ms. Sheila Mae O. Arcipe skillfully hosted the seminar, ensuring an engaging and informative session.
Representing Dr. Rolina C. Paran, the Campus Director, Engineer George Michael Geollina, Chairman of BSIE and GAD Coordinator, formally commenced the program with a warm welcome. The guest speaker, Prof. Marlou Godinez, the University GAD Director, then presented essential information underscoring the importance of awareness and preventive measures to create a safer environment.
The shared insights during the seminar aimed to deepen understanding about the prevalence and impact of sexual harassment, ultimately working towards reducing the likelihood of such incidents.
Following the informative sessions, Prof. Cherrylene G. Macachor, the Chair for Research and Development, facilitated an open forum. This provided a platform for all teachers to express their opinions and share ideas regarding the prevention of sexual harassment.
