CTU showcases product inventions in line with its 10th anniversary celebration through its Technology Business Incubation Office last November 6 at the Mixed Use E-Learning Building of the CTU-Main Campus. Carrying the theme “Accelerating Innovations with Industry”, the activity served as an interface for CTU and the industry for possible future business partnerships. During the activity, CTU presented its product inventions which are already patented and have the Utility Models for future commercialization.
The undertaking also provided an avenue for academe, government and industry linkage to promote and accelerate entrepreneurial activities in the industry and the community which would lead to a sustainable development in the country. Engr.Edilberto Paradela, Regional Director of the Department of Science and Technology-Central Visayas (DOST 7) and Hannah Ramos of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) , graced the event and shared their programs and services on where they can collaborate and help the academe and industry.
Entrepreneurs coming from different sectors also expressed their willingness to invest and partner with CTU. “ We are looking forward to future business partnership with industy for the creation of companies which will result to creation of jobs that will help address poverty alleviation in our country.This event will not be successful without the great support of Dr.Rosein Ancheta,CTU President and Dr. Adrian Ybanez,VP for Research and Development,”said Dr.Lolita Velita, University Director for Technology Business Incubation and Development.
