TBID, ATBI tap ISU to prep Faculty Researchers in creating Spinoff Companies

Dr. Jonathan Nayga, one of the pioneers in TBI in the country from Isabela State University, conducted a 2-day workshop for Cebu Tech faculty researchers on how to commercialize their respective IP assets from research and create spinoff companies at the Summit Galleria Hotel in Cebu City on December 12-13, 2022.

The University Technology Business Incubation and Development office, led by Prof. Siegfried Mendoza, and the Cebu Tech Agri-Aqua Technology Incubator (ATBI), under project leader Dr. Adrian Ybanez, initiated the event.

Dr. Nayga shared his experience on how the TBI helped faculty researchers license their protected IP asset to technology adopters or create spinoff companies for themselves, helping them earn from their research and, at the same time, help the university in achieve its goals since spinoff companies and technology commercialization are deliverables in world university rankings.
