On the morning of February 8, 2025, the culminating program for the extension initiative Eskwelahan sa Kahanginan was held at the Hometel Extension, bringing together the extension team and beneficiaries for a meaningful closing activity.

The Eskwelahan sa Kahanginan: Buffalo Dairy Food Innovation and Commercialization program conducted a series of engaging on-air and in-person training sessions to equip farmer beneficiaries with essential skills for producing dairy products and incorporating technology into their livelihoods. A standout feature of the program was the live radio sessions aired through BT Radio, extending the initiative’s reach even further.

Through the collaborative efforts of the College of Technology’s Hospitality Management (BSHM) and Information Technology (IT) departments, as well as the College of Agriculture (COA), spearheaded by Dr. Monifel Calderon, the project focused on empowering farmers with new tools and knowledge to innovate in dairy production.

The culmination was graced by distinguished guests, including Campus Director Dr. Ma. Carla Abaquita and Extension Services Director Prof. Devonna Celedonio, as well as First Consolidated Cooperative Along Tañon Seaboards (FCCT) Chief Executive Officer Mr. Magdaleno Bargamento and Branch Office Chair Mr. Teotimo Doña.

The event was made even more memorable by the active participation of the beneficiaries, who performed an intermission number that showcased their enthusiasm and pride in the project. Beneficiaries, including Ms. Daphne Gerasol and Ms. Bebe Novicio, shared heartfelt feedback on how the project has significantly impacted their lives, underscoring the success and lasting value of the initiative.
