From March 13 to 15, 2025, faculty members from across Cebu Technological University participated in an International Faculty Immersion Program in Thailand. CebuTech Tuburan Internationalization and ASEAN Integration (IAI) Chair Ms. Cheryl Durog, along with representatives from various CTU campuses, traveled to the stunning Bangtao Beach in Phuket, Thailand. The program provided hands-on experience in various hotel operations, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food and Beverage, and Kitchen Operations. The team also conducted ocular visits to partner hotels, particularly those where Technologists were completing their internships.
For monitoring purposes, the team, visited Technologists at their assigned hotels and resorts. Ms. Durog, together with the team, visited Luna Mae Cole at Best Western Phuket Ocean Resort and Alexander Guevarra at Sunprime Kamala Beach as part of their On-the-Job (OJT) monitoring.
In addition to enriching the team’s skills in hotel operations, the immersive experience also strengthened the collaboration between CTU and its industry partners.
