Ready for the Real World: Pre-Employment Advocacies Seminar

As incoming interns, practicum students, and On-the-Job Training (OJTs) prepare for their immersion into the real world, a pre-employment advocacy seminar on employment coaching was conducted. On the morning of July 9, 2025, incoming senior students convened at the CebuTech Tuburan Bulawanong Tinubdan Cultural Center to receive essential insights relevant to their upcoming internships.

Ms. Donavelle T. Mantos, CTU Vocational Placement Coordinator and esteemed resource person, delivered insightful sessions to the senior technologists. Among the key topics covered were job application preparation, labor education for graduating students, and basic steps for safe migration, including anti-illegal recruitment measures, pre-employment, and pre-deployment orientation.

The session was organized by the Public Employment Service Office (PESO), chaired by Associate Professor Sergio Magpuyo, in collaboration with the Student Affairs Office (SAO), and was attended by students from the College of Education, the College of Arts and Sciences, and the Bachelor of Hospitality Management (BSHM) and Bachelor of Industrial Technology (BIT) departments of the College of Technology.
