Two initiatives under the GASA sa Selda Program were launched on July 19, 2025. This program aims to equip Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) with relevant, income-generating technical skills. The CebuTech Tuburan College of Technology officially commenced two extension projects as part of this effort.

One initiative from the Industrial Technology (BIT) department, the HOPE (Halad Og Pagbag-o sa Empleyo) project, focuses on equipping male PDL participants with multiple competencies in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW).

In its second phase, the Bread and Pastry Production project, led by the Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) program, was also launched. This initiative aims to empower participants with essential food preparation skills that can support income generation.

Beyond developing technical competencies and helping participants obtain National Certification (NC), these projects seek to prepare and support PDLs in their successful reintegration into society through livelihood skills training.
