The CebuTech Tuburan Covered Court once again burst with applause, inspiring words, and cheers as eager Technologists filled every corner during the General Orientation. On the afternoon of August 11, 2025, as part of the Week of Welcome (WOW) 2025 kickoff, campus officials, faculty, staff, along with new and continuing students, attended the event. OIC Dean of Instruction, Dr. Lanny Merryl Gallarde, warmly welcomed everyone, establishing a positive tone for a productive academic year.
Among the many notable moments was the presentation of the university’s VMG by ICPA Chair Dr. Jleian Mard Loseñara, followed by an insightful discussion on Gender and Development (GAD) and Guidance Office services by campus Guidance Councilor and GAD Chair Ms. Virnalyn Porte. Assistant Campus Director Dr. Maria Leni Torralba greatly inspired everyone present with her heartfelt message.
Beyond the presentations, the Bulawanong Tinubdan Dance Company (BTDC) fluttered the covered court floor with a spectacular performance.
Another key part of the orientation was the introduction of faculty members by their respective deans and the presentation of the offices, heads, and staff.
A solidarity dance, led by Campus Cultural Coordinator Dr. Ingersol Ed Guias alongside the BTDC, marked a meaningful conclusion to the gathering, with the Week of Welcome creating an encouraging atmosphere for a successful academic year.
