PAKLI on Wheels 2.0

The community extension project, Project PAKLI on Wheels, made its way to the Brgy.8 Covered Court in Tuburan on September 13, 2025, as the second phase of the project, launched PAKLI on Wheels 2.0, a project in coordination with the Mandaue Rotary Club. True to its theme of “Panaghiusa Alang sa Kalambuan, Library Atung Ihiluna sa Kabarangayan (PAKLI)”, the project’s launch successfully gathered elementary children as its beneficiaries, as the project aims to bring library services to the community through the collaborative dedication of the community, CebuTech Tuburan, and partner organizations.

The extension project was graced by officials of the barangay, marking strong support. Hon. Jenefer Jore expressed sincere gratitude for selecting their barangay as a beneficiary and stressed that education and literacy are essential to the progress of its youth and children.

The opening of the program featured significant highlights, beginning with an orientation and a run-through of the upcoming activities planned for the sessions. Project Leader and CebuTech Tuburan Librarian, Dr. Lorenel Gako, emphasized that beyond providing access to books and learning materials, the project aspires to impart meaningful learning enhancement and opportunities for the community. The extension team, composed of faculty and students from the Bachelor of Arts in English Language (BAEL) and Literature (BAL) programs, aims to provide continuous support in fostering a love for reading and advocating for literacy through the collaborative efforts of CebuTech Tuburan, the partner organizations, and the community.
