Tuburan Technologists Excel in Indigenous Food Competition

Indigenous Food Festival

CebuTech Tuburan technologists achieved a remarkable milestone at the 2nd Indigenous Plants Food Innovation Festival held on September 17, 2025, at CebuTech Argao. The event gathered students from various CTU campuses to showcase their culinary skills through innovative dishes featuring indigenous plants. Represented by two teams from the Bachelor of Industrial Technology – Food Preparation and Service Technology (BIT-FPST) program, CTU–Tuburan impressed with creativity, skill, and teamwork in celebrating cultural heritage through modern culinary innovations.

The Tuburan teams earned well-deserved recognition, with one group securing third place and the other receiving a consolation prize—both marking important achievements in their culinary journey. Beyond the awards, their participation brought pride and honor to CebuTech Tuburan. This accomplishment highlights the BIT-FPST program’s commitment to nurturing students’ competence and creativity while promoting the use of indigenous plants as sustainable ingredients that contribute to food security and the preservation of cultural heritage.
