On September 27, 2025, the CebuTech Tuburan Guidance Services Center (GSC), in collaboration with the Gender and Development (GAD) office, concluded an initiative titled Parents’ Orientation on Suicide Prevention.
Designed to empower parents by raising awareness of mental health issues, the session provided practical strategies for recognizing warning signs and strengthening family connectedness. It emphasized that parents are the first line of support in fostering student resilience and reducing stigma.
The GSC and GAD offices extend their gratitude to the dedicated parents and expert Mental Health Trainers for contributing to the success of this intervention. This initiative represents a meaningful step toward building a safer and more supportive community for every student.
