The GASA sa Selda (Gainful Activities for Social Advancement) extension program—specifically the HOPE – Halad Og Pag-Bag-o sa Empleyo and Bread and Pastry extension projects—culminated on November 18, 2025, showcasing CebuTech Tuburan’s commitment to rehabilitative contributions for Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs). The HOPE extension project focused on imparting welding skills essential for PDLs’ livelihood opportunities, while the Bread and Pastry extension project offered comprehensive training in bread and pastry production, with notable improvements in product quality and community recognition. The joint culminating program highlighted the transformative potential of technical and culinary skills as pathways for empowerment and social reintegration.

GASA sa Selda reflects a collaborative effort where CTU, BJMP, and local partners deliver hands-on livelihood programs inside jails, equipping PDLs with practical skills for family support and post-release jobs. The HOPE welding and bread-and-pastry trainings built real-world abilities, from metalwork to baking, while boosting participants’ sense of purpose and mental well-being during confinement
