Project PAKLI on Wheels 2.0 successfully culminated on the morning of December 14, 2025, marking the completion of a multi-month community extension initiative that was launched on September 13, 2025. The project, implemented in coordination with the Mandaue Rotary Club and led by CebuTech Tuburan Librarian Dr. Lorenel Gako, brought mobile library services and literacy programs to elementary children in Barangay 8, Tuburan. True to its theme “Panaghiusa Alang sa Kalambuan, Library Atung Ihiluna sa Kabarangayan (PAKLI),” the culminating activity celebrated the achievements of beneficiaries who participated in regular reading sessions and literacy enhancement activities throughout the project period.




The culminating event brought together beneficiaries, barangay officials, partner organizations, and the extension team, which comprised faculty and students from the Bachelor of Arts in English Language (BAEL) and Literature (BAL) programs. Dean of Instruction Dr. Rowena P. Abaquita, Chair for Extension Services Prof. Devonna Celedonio, College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) Dean Dr. Lanny Merryl Gallarde, Project Leader Dr. Gako, Project Leader, and Brgy. 8 Captain. Hon. Lutero, delivered inspiring messages that celebrated the achievements of the project and emphasized the importance of continued commitment to education and community development.








To make the culmination festive, the closing program concluded with a joyful Christmas party where the children beneficiaries celebrated through exciting games, shared meals, and creative performances representing each purok from Brgy. Poblacion 8, filling the covered court with laughter and holiday cheer. The celebration showcased the impact of collaborative community engagement in promoting education and literacy, demonstrating how sustained support and access to learning materials can foster a love for reading among young learners.
