On December 14, 2025, CebuTech Tuburan successfully concluded its 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAWC), marking the culmination of a comprehensive university effort to promote awareness and foster a violence-free community under the theme “UNiTEd for a VAW-Free Philippines.”
The campaign, which was launched on November 25, 2025, engaged both employees and students in a series of meaningful activities designed to address gender-based violence through education, empowerment, and community mobilization.
Throughout the 18-day period, the campaign featured VAW-free-centered competitions including a VAW Advocacy Video Contest and a Safe Selfie Booth. The culmination program included insightful sessions conducted by invited resource persons, including esteemed psychologists who provided expert perspectives on violence against women, exploring the psychological dimensions of gender-based violence, its impacts on victims and communities, and pathways toward healing and prevention.
