The Electricity Decarbonization Program: Harnessing the Sun’s Power Through Sustainable Community Cooperation (EDP HatSPoTSCC) successfully concluded its third phase on December 13, 2025, at the Brgy. Alegria Covered Court. The culminating program opened with a welcome address from Brgy. Alegria Captain Hon. Jeffrey Balen, followed by a comprehensive project summary presented by Project Leader Engr. Naomi Bajao. Campus Director Dr. Ma. Carla Abaquita, Extension Services Office Chair Prof. Devonna Celedonio, and the extension team from the College of Technology graced the event, underscoring the strong institutional commitment to community-based sustainable development initiatives.

A central feature of the closing program was the active participation of beneficiaries, who shared their impressions, feedback, and presented outputs that demonstrated the practical knowledge and skills acquired throughout the project. Their testimonials revealed a deepened understanding of renewable energy principles and climate change mitigation strategies.

Another noteworthy highlight of the culmination was the system demonstration by Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) 4th year students, who graciously donated their innovative capstone projects to the community: the Aquapurity Solar-powered Smart Water Purity Monitoring and Filtration Solution, and the Smart Solar Monitoring and Control System for Off-grid Communities. These technological contributions represent tangible tools that will continue to support the community’s sustainability efforts beyond the program’s duration.

This collaborative initiative successfully promoted renewable energy awareness and climate change action, empowering participants to become pioneers in electricity decarbonization and establishing a foundation for sustained environmental stewardship in Brgy. Alegria.
