BUKAG 4ward: Successful Community Closeout

BUKAG 4WARD CULMNINATION

In the Conference Hall of the Administration Building, adept local weavers and the campus extension team marked BUKAG 4ward’s culmination – a pivotal phase weaving entrepreneurial expertise with cultural legacy for sustainable community advancement.

Now in its fourth phase, BUKAG (Buhat ug Ugmad Kaugmaon Atu-ang Giyahan) empowers participants from Brgy. Bagasawe and Brgy. Putat with entrepreneurship training, weaving expertise, and sustainable income opportunities. Bagasawe BUKAG Organization (BBO) President Ms. Grace Impas, along with a beneficiary from Brgy. Putat, and Brgy. Putat Councilor Hon. Alma Lagnason shared inspiring testimonials on the program’s transformative impact. Extension team members highlighted the project’s achievements. The event featured uplifting intermission performances, photo sessions, and certificate awards to partner barangays, beneficiaries, and participating colleges

While BUKAG 4ward concludes, the initiative will continue fostering community growth through enhanced skills and economic opportunities. BUKAG 4ward is a collaborative project of the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), with Dean Lanny Merryl Gallarde as project leader, in partnership with the College of Engineering (COE), and the Bachelor of Industrial Technology (BIT).
