Representing the Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) program, two Tuburan Technologists brought their research to the international stage at the 3rd International Research Conference (UVBEAMS 2026), held on August 19–20, 2026, at the Inday Teresing Auditorium, UV Main Campus, Cebu City.

The two-day conference carried the theme “Harnessing Research Frontiers: Innovation, Emerging Technologies, and Transformative Inquiry,” drawing researchers and students eager to explore emerging ideas across disciplines
Carla Jane Tolero presented her paper, “Beyond Philippine Borders: The Lived Experiences of Hospitality Management Students in an International Internship Program,” while Glizyl Abendan shared her research, “Surviving the Dual Role: Lived Experiences of Working Students in the Hospitality Management Program.”

Their participation reflects both the campus’s thrust toward producing research that is relevant, community-grounded, and responsive, and the BSHM program’s commitment to nurturing researchers grounded in lived, everyday realities.
