On September 4, 2026, the community extension initiative KALDERO was officially launched. The name is an acronym for “KAalam sa pagdumala sa lokal nga produkto, Luwas nga pagproseso, DEkalidad nga desinyo, Responsableng pagkonsumo ug Oportunidad sa kalambuan ug negosyo.”

KALDERO is made possible through the Kabangkalan Agro-Forestry Farmers Multi-Purpose Cooperative (KAFAMCO) and CTU Tuburan Campus. The initiative aims to empower beneficiaries in Barangay Kabangkalan by providing livelihood opportunities through entrepreneurship, responsible consumption and production, and technology use. This includes transferring production skills for eggplant and squash, squash choco cookies, and taro chips.
