Student’s Internship Program: On-the-Job/ Practicum Students of Southeast Asian Regional Centre for Tropical Biology (BIOTROP)

It is a student internship program of Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) Centre for Tropical Biology at Bogor, Indonesia, is usually offered to undergraduate students who must acquire some course credits for graduation. These credits are earned either by completing a certain number of on-the-job exposures or specific outputs related to their field of specialization as required by their respective degree programs. The period for being on-the-job may run from 2 weeks up to a maximum of 2 months.

Student’s Internship Program (On-the-Job/ Practicum) at Anantara: The Palm Dubai Resort

It is a student internship program offered by the Anantara: The Palm Dubai Resort in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), usually to the Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) students must acquire some course credits for graduation. These credits are earned either by completing a certain number of on-the-job exposures or specific outputs related to their field of specialization as required by their respective degree programs. The period for being on-the-job may run from 7 to 8 months.

Saitama-Cebu Comprehensive HR Monozukuri Project.

It is a Saitama training program offered to top-notch engineering graduates from Cebu to be trained in Japan. It will also accept students, university professors, and Cebu government officials for the said program. It also fosters creative human resources for Cebu’s further industrial development, disseminates the concept of monozukuri here, and strengthens the international network between the two provinces (Cebu and Saitama) to encourage mutually beneficial development.

Official Development Assistance (ODA) International Training Program

It is a yearly training program of the City of Busan and the Busan Foundation for International Cooperation (BFIC) to their sister cities, including Cebu. The program features on-site visits and education programs in the agriculture, maritime, fishery, and public transportation sectors.

Human Resource Development Program in Biotechnology

It is a program offered by the National Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (BIOTEC) to research scientists from developing countries. The program aims to build up R & R&D capability for developing countries and foster the research network in this region. The program places importance on improving research skills; thus, it is designed to be on-the-job and research-based training in the BIOTEC’s laboratories. Two training types are offered: fundamental courses (3 months) and advanced courses (6 months). The training course consists of a classroom session, designing and conducting a mini-research project, and a site visit to factories or project sites.

The Canada-ASEAN Scholarships and Educational Exchanges for Development (SEED) program provides students, from member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), with short-term exchange opportunities for study or research in Canadian post-secondary institutions at the college, undergraduate, and graduate levels.
